Salvatore and Judy Demoro owned a small sewing factory in Ozark for 30 years. They also had 30 years of combined experience in the restaurant business, from car hopping to fine dining. There was talk of retirement, but it was not until their month-long trip to Italy, they realized they just were not ready to give up self-employment. Judy had a dream of owning and operating a small Italian restaurant where they could keep busy and “really enjoy the fine folks in Ozark.” And, so it began in 2014.
Salvatore’s Fresh Ristorante Italiano serves house made pastas, pizzas, bread and sandwiches. They offer a great range of wines, eleven of them offered by the glass, and a full bar that includes Peroni and Stella on tap. Salvatore’s also offers carry-out orders and catering.
While that “small” restaurant of their dreams ended up twice the size they had planned, the couple says they love how it turned out.
